We held an event called "Strolling around the local town Kotobuki" on August 17th.
Even though it was the first try, 6 participants were gathered.
We visited the park which soup cooking held in, and the shared space that the locals socialize with each others.
At the town hall, we heard about the history of Kotobuki town and its recent initiatives, which was very interesting and everyone listened intently.
Afterwards, we had a short discussion and exchanged opinions, which was a very meaningful experience.
We'er planing to hold it constantly, so please come to join us.

\Kotobukicho Town Walking Event/
On Sunday, July 27th, YHV staff will be holding a town walking event in Kotobukicho, Yokohama!

Kotobukicho is an area of Yokohama where public security workers used to sleep and work
in the past. Just step inside and you'll feel a completely different atmosphere from Minato Mirai
Our staff at Yokohama Hostel Village will take you to the deep side of Yokohama while unraveling the history of Kotobukicho...!

\Yokohama Hostel Village 20th Anniversary/
On June 7th, we held a 20th anniversary party at the hostel's rooftop glamping facility BEANSTALK (@beanstalk2021)
The representative of Koto Lab! Led by Okabe-san (@kotolab), the staff were busy from the preparation stage, and the event started with a good sweat, more like a club activity than working.
They found it themselves and moved on their own.
No one stopped and looked for what they could do.
Despite the fact that many of the staff were meeting each other for the first time, the preparations progressed steadily with quick movements, and their teamwork shone through. I think this is the charm of Koto Lab.After all that passionate preparation, the event began!
We welcomed alumni and other people involved who have helped us along the way, and it was a day filled with smiles, tears, and gratitude.
Everyone was captivated by the live performance by voice performer Satoko Nakamura (@satoko_nakamura) and her son Fusuke, and enjoyed a gentle and peaceful time together.
We have been able to celebrate our 20th anniversary thanks to the support and watch over by so many people. We will never forget our gratitude for these 20 years, and will continue to build on them over the next 10, 20 years, to liven up Yokohama from Kotobukicho.Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who has helped us so far. We look forward to your continued support!
